Hi and thanks for taking a look at my work. I specialise in creating scalable CMS driven websites, rich interactive activities and mobile phone applications.
Since leaving University I’ve had a couple of positions; my first job was as a Software Developer designing and building educational interactive games for children. I have worked on a number of award winning games which have gained an international market. My work has been translated into a number of languages namely Welsh, Polish and Greek. These activities where built using Flash, Flex, Actionscript and distributed using Adobe Air.
I currently work for a large design company in Cardiff as a Web developer. I’ve been involved in designing, building and maintaining large websites for clients such as Cadw, The Welsh Assembly and The Welsh Blood Service. My work is primarily built on a Ruby on Rails framework with Javascript for interactivity and CSS styling.
All of the websites I work on are standards compliant and degrade gracefully on older browsers. The vast majority are built with a content management system, are bi lingual and have rich interactive elements such as twitter feeds and maps.
More recently I’ve been working on mobile optimised websites, IPhone and Android applications. I’m interested in all types of technology especially anything web or mobile based.
