The application was developed in conjunction with the new Cadw monuments and events website. It allows the user to access up to date information on all Cadw monuments and events while on the move. GPS data is used to highlight nearby Cadw run monuments.

Application features:

• Map view uses the current GPS location to highlight nearby Cadw monuments.
• Information is pulled from the same database as the website. A single data source ensures that all methods of viewing the Cadw data are up to date.
• If there is no internet connection available an internal copy of the database is used, this is updated when the app is running with an internet connection.
• Telephone numbers are active, press any number entered into the website to automatically dial that number.

Cadw is the official guardian of historical buildings in Wales. The Cadw Monuments and Events website is a central location for information on all of the Cadw maintained historical monuments in Wales.

The website contains individual monument pages which list prices, directions, historical information and images. Each page can be accessed  via a simple search or by location on a map of Wales.

• Comprehensive search facility allowing the user to search for an event by keyword, region, monument and date.
• Interactive map which is dynamically updated as new monuments are added to the CMS, allowing users to easily find monuments in a particular location.
• Top 5 facility, the client can highlight particular events by ticking a box in the CMS. These events are then highlighted around the website.
• Advertisement system built into the CMS that allows the client to generate small styled adds including an image, copy and link that can then be assigned to any page on the website.
• Individual Facebook style pages for each monument and event, listing opening hours, facilities, directions and admission costs.
• Image gallery that opens in a modal window above the current page, enabling the user to flick through images without having to reload the page.
• CMS driven News facility.

The Welsh Blood Service mobile website designed to allow people access to the core services of the full website while on the move. The mobile site has been optimised for speed the site is a relatively small download meaning it is usable even on 3G networks.

The  website was built as part of a complete re branding of The Welsh Blood Service. The website is designed to be used by people who want to know more about donating blood.

Donation locations are illustrated on an interactive map. Blood stock levels are displayed using an animated graph and users can determine whether they are eligible to donate by completing an interactive quiz.

The website is fully content managed making it very quick to update any information on the website with very little training. This ensures that information on donation centres and blood stock levels are kept up to date.

A simple Flash game created for the Welsh National Opera to encourage re visits to their Magic Flute mini-site.

The game was built using Actionscript 3, Flex and Flash in the Flash Builder IDE.

A community website for the residents at Victoria Wharf Cardiff Bay. The website pulls in the profiles of people who have ‘liked’ the sister Facebook Page and tweets from the site’s Twitter feed.

The development of the Hayes and St Davids shopping centre in Cardiff prompted a re branding of the two ninteenth century arcades The Royal and The Morgan. To coincide with this the client wanted a new stylish website that would reflect the individuality and quality of the two arcades.

• Large landscape slideshow gallery on the homepage and smaller portrait gallery on each unique page, all managed through the CMS

• Store of the month, which when selected through the CMS is highlighted on the front page

The maintenance matters website was commissioned by Cadw as a resource for people with old or listed buildings. The website contains information on managing all aspects of a historical building including useful links and tips. The primary feature of the website is the ability to create a personalised maintenance plan for your building.

• Mobile version of the site optimised for small aspect screens and restricted data usage.
• Full user login system including password recovery
• “Your Plan” section allowing the creation of custom maintenance plans
• Ability to export information to PDF for local saving/printing

People Like Us Cymru is a support website for kidney patients and their families across Wales offering advice as well as a forum for sharing experiences.

The Pirates’ Crystal is an adventure game designed to develop logical thinking and reading skills. Built using Flash, Flex and Actionscript and deployed using Adobe Air the game is playable both online and on PC or Mac.

The game is similar to Lucas Arts adventure games from the early 90′s. The user progresses the story by navigating the world, talking to characters and completing mini games.

The game is bi-lingual (Welsh/English) and was designed to be played on interactive white boards at school and on home computers.
